How to Get to Kallangur From Brisbane

Kallangur is a suburb of Brisbane, one of Australia’s largest cities. It is located north of the city in the Moreton Bay area. Kallangur is a great place to stay because of it’s close proximity to urban Brisbane, the Moreton Bay coast, and many inland towns. If you are traveling to Kallangur, you will likely pass through Brisbane first. Here’s how to get from Brisbane to Kallangur.

 

Drive

 Kallangur is a very short drive north of Brisbane. If you are flying into Brisbane Airport and then renting a car, you should have no problem locating the Kallangur area. From the airport, take Moreton Drive to the M1 Highway. Continue north until you reach Dohles Rocks Road, which will take you into Kallangur. Alternatively, from the airport, you can take the Airport link to the A3 Highway going north, which will connect with the M1. However, this route has tolls. If you are heading from Brisbane city to Kallangur, you can take the M3 highway north. All of these routes will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on the traffic.

 

Rail

 The city of Brisbane has a very comprehensive rail system. Kallangur is close to both the Petrie and Dakabin stops on the Caboolture line, which travels north up to the Sunshine Coast. If you are in Brisbane city, you can take the Caboolture line north from Roma Street station and exit at either stop, which takes approximately 45 minutes. If you are coming from the airport, you can take the Airport Line to Roma Street, and then transfer to a train going north. If you exit in Petrie, you can then take the 680 bus going north into Kallangur. Rail is a very inexpensive way to get around in the Brisbane area, and if you are staying for more than a day or two, you can buy reloadable passes

 

Taxi/Uber

 If you are flying into the Brisbane airport, you can take a taxi or an Uber to Kallangur. Uber is a popular worldwide taxi app that provides low fares. Brisbane to Kallangur takes approximately half an hour, and fares range between 50 and 70 dollars. If you choose to take a traditional taxi instead, fares range between 65 and 90 dollars. These fares range in price depending on the amount of traffic at the time, which can affect how long it takes to get out to Kallangur.
